

It is with profound sadness that the family of Reine Grenier (Vervacke), announce her passing on February 25, 2022, peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, following a brief illness, due to complications from COVID-19.
Born March 10, 1936, Reine passed away just shy of her 86th birthday. Beloved wife of 57 years, of the late Joe Grenier (2015). Loving and caring mother of Chris (Vanderluci), Doreen (Michael), Cathy (Don), Christine, Martine and the late John (1980). Cherished grandmother of Jon Lang, Kevin Wallace, Sasha Viau, Angie Barton, Kenny Wallace, John Eaton, Amanda Grenier, Shane Barton, Emmett Grenier, the late Shannon Barton, and Nicholas Grenier, and survived by many great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bert (late Yolande), Jean-Marie (Emilie), Yvette (late Alban), Carmelle (late Hector) and Suzanne. Fondly remembered by her cousins in France, Geneviève Rose and Daniele Rose, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Saturday, March 12, 2022 after 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the Chapel. The funeral service can also be viewed live at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/48324. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is required that all attendees must wear a mask at all times.
The family would like to thank Ottawa paramedics, and all of the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital, who provided exceptional care during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated.
