Born on August 29, 1937, Roger was a devoted family man whose quiet strength, steady guidance, and unwavering love profoundly shaped the lives of those around him. He was a proud father to Brian, Cynthia, and Craig—each of whom carries forward the values he held dear: kindness, integrity, and perseverance.
Roger's warmth, generosity, and deep love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his children Brian (Kim), Cynthia (Jim), and Craig (Sylvie); his beloved grandchildren Stephanie, Vicky, Philippe, Sean, Nina, and Tanya; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his cherished wife of 53 years, Doreen Choquette.
A private family gathering to celebrate Roger’s life will take place this summer at Craig’s cottage, with details to be shared with close family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday August 7th from 5-7pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Road).
