Cherished mother of Mike, Suzanne, and Paul, and adoring mother-in-law to Mary, Tony and Marisa, Rose-Marie's warmth was a radiant glow that deeply touched everyone in her presence. An adored grandmother to Roberto, Melissa, Tobias, and Theodore, her unconditional love and gentle praise will continue to resonate in their hearts and memories.
Rose-Marie loved listening to music, dancing, reading books with happy endings and caring for her flowers and plants. Her heart was big and sharing her love with her family was the greatest focus of her life. She exuded gratitude for every moment and never complained as she always perceived her glass as more than half full. Rose-Marie was extremely wise and would summon the most perfect advice at just the right moment. She would dispense her wisdom with empathy to provide heart-filled guidance that everyone would lean in to hear.
Predeceased by her adoring husband Robert for 55 beautiful years, and missing him profoundly for the next 11, she felt a sense of peace as she approached reuniting with him, in anticipation of their next dance – a dance that will now last forever.
Rose-Marie's legacy of joy, gratitude, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd., Ottawa, ON (at Albion Rd)., on Monday, August 14th beginning at 2 p.m. followed by a Funeral Liturgy in the chapel at 3:30 p.m. Rose-Marie's service may also be viewed live or for replay at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/78047
