Simone Sekaly

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Sékaly, on March 9, 2012 in her 86th year. Beloved wife and soul mate for over 55 years to Raymond; and greatly loved mother to Ragi and Gabriel. Sister-in-law and best friend for over 80 years of Jacqueline Sékaly Bittar; sister of the late Henri Zariffa and Raymond Zariffa of Montreal; sister-in-law of Roger Sékaly of Montreal. Dear cousin to Elie & Maureen Debbas, George & Hada Zaidan, David Habib, Robert and Roger Doche and Badia Souccar. Simone will be dearly missed by her nieces & nephews Rafick Sékaly, Christian & Elena Sékaly, Irene & Rene Arnolis, Guy & Cynthia Bittar, Magda & Amina Sékaly and her multitude of friends. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the Queensway Carleton Hospital (A3 Wing and the ICU) for their care and devotion. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2012 at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 17, 2012 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. Reception to follow.
