

The family is deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Wafaa Saab, in the early morning hours of Friday, January 3rd, 2025, in her home at the age of 65 after she fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents Androwis and Tamam Nesrallah, as well as her sisters Najla (late Mikhail Nasrallah), Nawal, and Amal (Ghassan Nasrallah).
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Issa Saab, as well as her children Zena (Sami) and Ziad (Marie-France) as well as her grandchildren Majeda and Zain. She will be remembered fondly by her sisters, Marie El-Khouri (late Raymond) and Hind Kaazan (Nayef), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Wafaa immigrated to Ottawa, Canada from Kfarmishki, Lebanon in 1981, where she settled, married, and worked hard to raise her family. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and could often be found hosting family and friends in her home. She spent years as a server at Father & Sons restaurant near the University of Ottawa, serving generations of students, teachers and community members.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, at St. Elias Antiochan Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa. The visitation is at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment at Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to Myeloma Canada or St. Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.
