William Paul Baker

It is with great sadness that our family announces that Paul has passed away peacefully, from dementia, aged 72, at Perley Health Centre in Ottawa. Paul is predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Beatrice (Thorpe) Baker and by his brother David. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Baker (McCrank). He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Goodwin, (Jim), Jane Larocque (Joe), and Mary Boyce (John), as well as nieces and nephews: Adrian (Elena), Andrew (Tracy), Aubry, Lauren (Jamie), Leah (Brad), many grand-nieces and nephews, Aunt Shirley (Ron deceased), Uncles Denzil, John (Pat), and Brian (Karen).

Paul was known for his love of politics and sports particularly the Maple Leafs and for his wonderful dry sense of humour. Paul was loved by all and will be sorely missed. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff at Perley Health for their loving, dedicated and supportive care.

The family will receive relatives and friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Tuesday May 12, 2026 after 10 am, followed by a Celebration of Paul`s life at 11 am in the Chapel. A time of fellowship and reception will follow the funeral in the reception centre.
