Peacefully, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the age of 79. Son of the late William Hedley Barlow and Gertrude McGillicuddy. Loving brother of Gilbert "Gib" (Lorraine) of Toronto and the late Dorothy and Joan Barlow of Ottawa. Dear uncle of Christine Barlow Drotos (Loren) and Gregory Barlow (Cheryl Stacey) of Toronto. Great Uncle of Zachary, Nicholas and Christopher Drotos and Sarah and Chelsea Barlow of Toronto. A ceremony celebrating Bill's life will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 11 am at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa followed by a reception. The family wishes to thank our cousin Ken Armstrong for his care and devotion to Bill over the last year and Diane Buenger, Vincent Meechan and Marie Melvin for their friendship and kindness to Bill. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
