Candice passed away peacefully at home at age of 33 years old on Sunday May 16th 2021 surrounded by her family after succumbing to Ampullary Cancer which she fought courageously since 2019.
Candice graduated from Oxnard High School in 2006 and she continued her education at Charter College where she received a Medical Assistant degree with honors in 2010. She went on to Ventura College where she received an Associates of Arts with an emphasis in Natural Sciences. She was a Medical Assistant and Office Manager for Dr. Peter Aline for the next 11 years which she loved and enjoyed.
While growing up, Candice was a Brownie Girl Scout. She enjoyed playing for the Via Marina and Seaside Girls Softball League. She was a Cheerleader at Fremont Jr. High School and was a squad member of the Pacific All Stars Cheer where she traveled for cheerleading competitions which Candice loved doing.
Candice was a very caring and loving person that brought so much joy into this world. Her smile, energy and laughter was contagious. She was the most beautiful, kindest and amazing wife, daughter and sister.
Candice spent the summers at the lake camping with the family. She loved all outdoor activities. She had a passion for trail running, fishing, wakeboarding and hiking.
Candice could accomplish anything she set her mind to and was always a caregiver to those around her. Although we will miss our dear Candice, we will continue to remember and cherish her in our hearts forever.
Candice is survived by the love of her life Andy Otineru (Husband), Kona Baby (Dog), Debbie & Keith Kennel (Mother and Father), Arlene Frazier (Grandmother), Chris Otineru (Mother in Law) Scott Kennel (Brother, wife Lizeth), DeAnna Emerson (Sister, husband Andrew), Emily Otineru (Sister in Law), Shelly Santos (Sister in Law, husband, Eric), Evelyn & Aubree (Nieces), Anthony & Austin (Nephews) and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
