Eldridge (Ed) Martin, a longtime resident of Ventura, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the age of 79 after a five-month battle with cancer. He died where he wanted to be- in bed in his own home with his beloved wife, Carol, by his side.
He is preceded in death by his beloved second wife, Micki, and his daughter, Kim, who was killed by a drunk driver.
He will be greatly mourned by his wife and his 13 surviving children (including stepchildren) and their spouses, 27 grandchildren and their spouses, and 32 great-grandchildren. He was deeply loved by everyone who knew him and will be sorely missed.
His wish was to be cremated and have his ashes spread by his daughter in Alaska.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Conrad's & Reardon Mortuary: 401 W Channel Islands Blvd. Oxnard, Calif. 93033.
