Felicidad Evangelista Lezada

Fely was born May 15, 1936 in San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines.

After retiring as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Fely continued her passion for volunteering and giving back to her community. She was active in the Filipino community including board member of the Zambales Association of Ventura County.

Fely enjoyed playing mahjong with her friends, trips to Chumash and doing her crossword puzzles. She also loved watching her favorite shows including Jeopardy, Tennis, and her all-time favorite WWE Smackdown Wrestling. Fely enjoyed cooking her well-known recipes including her famous “pinakbet”.

Fely was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and auntie. She was preceded in death by her parents (Lucas & Visitacion Evangelista), husband (Albert), sisters (Claring, Meding), brother (Romy) and sons (Roy and Lyndon). She is survived by her son Alan (wife Laura), her daughters Janet and Diane (husband Leigh), grandkids Roy, Michael, Markus, Jacqueline, Caitlyn, Brooke and Lukas. Brothers Jesus (Luz) and Erning. Sisters Vehing, Norma (Rolando), Aning, and Doris (Oscar) and a large extended family including great grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Until the end, she remained a loving, generous, kind and selfless individual who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be a time of visitation from 4 to 10pm (with a recitation of the rosary at 6pm) on Friday January 3rd at Funeraria Del Angel Mortuary, 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard, CA 93033. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9am on Saturday January 4th at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 463 W. Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard, CA 93033. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetary, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard, CA 93036
