

Mrs. Soto was born March 24, 1930 in Council Bluffs, IA to Victor and Crecensia Acosta.
While her husband Frank Soto tended to their farm in Nebraska, and then later served in the U.S. Navy; Mrs. Soto cared for their children and home. Her life was devoted to her family. With every new duty station, she felt it most important to find a church, a library, and a park for her children.
In the 70’s, Mrs. Soto marched with Cesar Chavez for farm workers’ rights. In the 90’s, she campaigned throughout Oxnard, obtaining signatures to keep EWTN on the air and succeeded.
Mrs. Soto was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for 40 years. She was a member of the South Oxnard Senior Center where she enjoyed watching her husband compete in WII bowling tournaments. Mrs. Soto’s interests included gardening and reading.
Mrs. Soto is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank J. Soto; daughters, Victoria Clarke (Dennis) and Monica Arellano (Daniel); sons, Mark Soto (Cindy) and Raphael Soto; sister, Ramona Covos; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank J. Soto Jr. and grandson Frank J. Soto III.
