

Robert Roy Dugan passed away happily in his home on Monday, May 21, 2012. Robert was born Sept., 6, 1922 in Iola, Kansas and moved to California when he was a small boy with his family. After graduating high school in Ventura, Robert attended Ventura CC in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. After the attack at Pearl Harbor, Robert was more than honored to be called to service in the U.S. Navy. There he was one of the 1st sailors to use a new technology called "radar". After 3 years of active duty and traveling the world on the USS Black Hawk, Robert became an electrician at Pt. Mugu CBC Naval Base. There he met the love of his life Celia Dugan (deceased 2006). Robert was an electrician by trade but he was great at everything he did and everyone loved him. He was a true gentlemen who would put everyone before himself, even until his last days. Robert is survived by his one and only grandson Carlos Martinez, his wife Nicole and great grandchildren Joel "Bambino" and Diana "Nana". The rosary for Robert will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad's & James Reardon, Wednesday at 6:30pm, with viewing between 3:00pm - 9:00pm. The funeral service will be Thursday at St. Anthony's Church at 10:00am following with a precession to Santa Clara Cemetery.
