Soledad Ramirez Lardizabal

(1923-201Mrs. Soldedad Lardizabal, age 96, of Oxnard, passed away March 16, 2013, in Oxnard, Calif. She was born February 23, 1917, in Arkansas City, Kan., and has been a longtime resident coming from Colorado Springs, Colo. She was married to Alfredo J. Lardizabal for 64 years until his death August 30, 1995, at the age of 88.

Mrs. Lardizabal (Sally) worked at Saint John's Hospital in Oxnard for 32 years as a LVN. She had been an active member of 'Stella Coeli YLI Institute #180' for many years and an active church member of Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard.

Her hobbies included music, crocheting, getting together with friends and relatives and playing poker. She had lived in Oxnard since 1941.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Wargo (husband deceased, Nicholas Wargo, Jr.); daughter-in-law, Irene M. Lardizabal (husband deceased, Lt. Col. Alfred Lardizabal, Jr., USMC, RET., son of Mrs. Lardizabal); and grandchildren, A. Jensen Lardizabal (wife Alana), Gunther Douglas Lardizabal (wife Rebekah), Michael P. Wargo (wife Karen), Ronald J. Warg (wife Cynthia), Nicole Soledad Wargo-Clark (husband Daniel); great-grandchildren, Sierra A. Lardizabal, Stella Rose Lardizabal, and Renee N. Lardizabal, Kathleen M. Wargo, Kelly M. Wargo, Shelby J. Wargo, Haley N. Wargo, Nathaniel B. Wargo and Tyler Nicholas Clark.

She is survived by numerous family members and friends including dear friends Ronald and June Guadagno and family. Loving appreciation goes to Patricia Ilar, Linda Walter and Yolanda (nieces).

Visitation will be April 2, 2013, from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m., both at Funeraria Del Angel Funeral Home, Oxnard. The Mass will be at 10 a.m., April 3, 2013, at Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard, Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard. Celebration of Life reception will be held at the River Ridge Golf Club, 2401 W. Vineyard Ave., Oxnard immediately following.
