

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 10:00am from the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverends Marquis Wingard, Sam Williams and Kenneth Hagler officiating. Burial will follow in the Browns U.M.C. Cemetery near Echo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7:00pm, Monday, January 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Lillis Cochran; his brothers, Delmer and Cecil Cochran; and his sisters, Minnie Hollis, Genevieve Ellis, and Myrtle Franks.
Bobby was born in Dalton, Georgia, and attended school there. He joined the United States Army in 1956 and served eleven years. After he came to Ozark, he worked with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Ozark and Dothan for twenty years, and later worked with Roadmart, Inc. in Ozark and Dothan for another twenty years.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Snell Cochran, his daughter, Pamela (Joey) Brock, Vernon, FL, and his son, Jeff (Cassie) Cochran, Skipperville. Five grandchildren also survive: Taylor, Zane, and Zoie Cochran, and Casey and Hunter Brock.
Survivors also include sisters, Bertha Wales and Betty (Dee) Jones; brothers, Leonard (Frances) Cochran, Hershall (Ella) Cochran, and Lloyd Cochran – all of Dalton, Ga.
Surviving sisters and brothers in law include Jean Griggs, Leota Miller, Dalane Blackburne, Martha (Vernie) Burroughs, Horace Snell, Jr., June (David) Smith, Wanda (Larry) Wright, Melba (Hal) Cox, and Mike (Vickie) Snell. A total of 42 nieces and nephews also survive, special friends, Don Henderson and Ray Galloway.
