

A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Snell will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Patterson and Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P. Webb was born on November 19, 1923 in Echo, Alabama. He was the eldest of six children born to the late Meticous and Lucille Snell. He was a lifetime and faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church and loved his God very much. Mr. Snell served his country during World War II and retired from United States Civil Service in 1973.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Anna Myrl Snell; two children: Shirley Merice Raff (Richard) and Daniel Justin Snell (Jan); three granddaughters: Trisha Huckaba (Rudy), Tammy McCarter (Robby) and Brandi Rodewald (Scott); one grandson, Brandon Snell; two step-grandsons: Richard Raff, Jr. and Wade Godbold (Whitney); great grandchildren: Ashli Huckaba Carroll (Robert), Josh Cullifer, Lea Huckaba, and Lee McCarter; two great-great grandchildren: Anna and Jaxon Carroll; three sisters: Willie Earl Clark, Crawfordville, FL; Mary Pearl Gobble (Jerry), Bertha Community and Linda West (Russell), Browns Church Community; three brothers: James Snell (Faye) of Headland, AL, Jesse T. Snell (Manonia) of Skipperville, AL; Don Snell (Virginia) of Skipperville, AL; three special sisters-in-law: Lois Jean Snell, Sara Snell, and Martha Strickland. The family extends their special thanks and appreciation to the wonderful people of Wiregrass Hospice.
