

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Doss officiating and Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, one hour before the service. Flowers will be accepted or Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Darrell was born on March 12, 1961 to Charlie Randolph and Ruby Cotton.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Cotton who passed away last year; a nephew, Colby Lance Cotton and grandparents, C.H. Cotton and Hattie Lee Dean Cotton.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Cotton of Ozark; his wife, Kathy Cotton of Ozark; two daughters, Cheryl and Charlee Cotton, both of Ozark; two step children, Sean (Tara) Cook of Savannah, Ga. and Nora Arrington of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Cotton of Houston, Tx; three brothers, Mike (Debbie) Cotton, Ronnie Cotton and Larry Cotton all of Ozark. He enjoyed four grandchildren, Zachary, Regan and Beckham Cook, and Madelin Grace Cotton. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved greatly.
Darrell was a graduate of Carroll High School, 1979, and graduated from George C. Wallace Technical School. He worked with Louisiana Pacific Fiber Board for 12 years and worked for IBEW of Montgomery, AL as an electrical inspector until his retirement. Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was most comfortable in the woods or at the creek. Darrell was a huge Alabama fan and loved ejoying games with his family and friends. He was a hard working honest man who loved his family more than anything. Darrell will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
