

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with Brother Adam Mulliner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY. 10001.
Mrs. Skinner, daughter of the late Henry Pruitt and Nellie Bee Edgar, was born September 13, 1947 in Ozark, Alabama. She spent 27 years as a surgical nurse and loved helping other people. Mrs. Skinner was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family. She was a gifted artist, adored painting and also loved spending time with her husband outdoors.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Max Earl Skinner of Ozark; four daughters: Tammy (Paul) Hutto of Enterprise, Nancy (Bruce) Foss of Flint, Michigan, Laura (Walter) Plentis of Waterford, Michigan and Tara (Freddy) Jackson of Ozark; two sons: Stuart Skinner of Daleville, Kenneth Wayne Ward of Ozark; two brothers: Joe (Sharron) Edgar of Bellville, Illinois, Henry Pruitt (Hien) Edgar, Jr. of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren: Adam Mulliner, Crystal Haight, Tiffany Carrington, Jessica Grantham, Richard Fernandez, Anthony Fernandez, Matthew Mulliner, Josh Mulliner, Carrie Hutto, Aaron Skinner, Alyssa Will, Walter Plentis, Tori Ward; great-grandchildren: Reese, Peyton, Maleia, McKenzie, Myzhea, Bela, Holden, Katherine, Mason, Charlie and Conner.
