

A memorial service to honor Mr. Holder will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Greg Doss officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Holder was a Korean War Veteran and a longtime member of the Alabama National Guard. He spent most of his adult life on the road as a Long Haul Truck Driver, but Ozark always remained his home. His heart was in his work, which he continued to do, driving back and forth from Savannah, GA to Charleston, SC for the past fourteen years. James encountered many, many friends along life’s highway, they remain his friend today. He was preceded in death by his parents: M.J. and Annie Holder; two sisters: Annie Mary Peacock and Mildred Cobb.
Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Margie Holder; three children: Belinda (Larry) Carr, Nikki (Cleve) Reeves, and Matt (Keisha) Holder; five grandchildren: Lorie (Anthony) Ingram, Randy (Kristi) Carr, Madison and Michael Reeves, and Tyson Holder; two special great-grandchildren: Taylor Carr and Holden Ingram; a special step-son, Curtis (Cathy) Whittington; two sisters: Joyce Ross and Janice (Leon) Massey; several nieces and nephews.
