

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, in the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Burial was at Westview Memorial Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family would like to thank all those who attended.
Mrs. Harrell was born October 15, 1922, in Dodge County, Georgia, to John Daniel Davidson and Minnie Lee Scott Davidson. During World War II, she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” for Lockheed Martin, which was then called Bell Bomber. She owned Janey Roberta’s Beauty Salon with her daughter, Janey, in Jonesboro, Georgia, before retiring to Ozark. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark.
Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Harrell; her sons, Rod Harrell and Charles Harrell and a grandson, Joe Stephens.
She is survived by her daughter, Janey Stephens (Jerry) of Ozark; her son, Ted Harrell (Kathy) of Jackson’s Gap, Ala.; her seven grandchildren, John Harrell, Todd Harrell, Jeff Stephens, Lisa Stephens Rahn, Beth Harrell Myers, Justin Harrell and Hunter Harrell; also surviving are her six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two on the way.
