Jessie Pearl "China" Lucas

Jessie Pearl “China “ Lucas of Enterprise, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at her residence. She was 59 years of age. Funeral services will be at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Leonard Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to The American Heart Association P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

Mrs. Lucas was born July 12, 1951 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Chester Shipmon and Minnie Lee Dawkins Shipmon. She is preceded in death by her Parents; her husband of 23 years, Joseph Calvin Lucas and a brother, Chester K. Shipmon.

Mrs. Lucas is survived by her son, Fredrick M. Beasley II of Okinawa, Japan ; her sister, Alice Parker of Ozark; her brothers, Charles Dawkins of Las Vegas, NV, Jonathan Shipmon, David Shipmon and Horatio Shipmon all of Ozark; and her granddaughter, Kyra Beasley of Monterey, California.
