Loretta "Mama Sue" Williams Chavis

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Pastors Charlie and Gwen Katzenbach officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Marianna, Florida under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Loretta was the youngest of 13 children born to Willis and Avie Bosman Williams. Mrs. Chavis was a member of The Father’s House Fellowship. She was the mother of five daughters, three of which are members of the gospel group “Faithful”. Having lived in the area for 25 years, she shared a home with her daughter in Newton for 15 years and spent the last 10 years in Ozark. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings as well as two daughters: Judy Warren and Joan Young.

Survivors include three daughters: Patricia Bowman (Billy), Sherry Trawick (Richard), and Gwen Katzenbach (Charlie), all of Ozark; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
