Mattie Frances Powell Glenn

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Glenn was born October 6, 1922 in Dale County, Alabama, daughter of the late Collie and Dollie Sanders Powell. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Owen Cecil Glenn; brother, Albert Powell; sisters: Nodie Napper, Virginia Senn, Lucille Sutton, Jeanette Senn, Myrt Berry, Nell Berry, Jennie Bell Senn, and Dollie Ruth Powell; sons: Roy Earl Senn and Vaughn Carroll Senn; daughter, Pearlie Faye Sketoe; and grandson, Nathan Daniel Jones.

Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Parrish and husband, Roger, of Ozark, AL and Frances Jones and husband, Therrel, of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren: Nicholas Jones, Scott Senn, Stanley Senn, Sam Senn, Sidney Senn, Steven Senn, Sandy Daniels, Pamela Ledger, West Sketoe, and Angel Chaillou; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members along with countless friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Nick Jones, Austin Pitts, Greg Smith, Richard Hines, Tony Powell, and Stanley Senn.
