Anna Jane Schmidt

The daughter of Harry C. and Roxie (Perry) Rankin, she was born on May 5, 1931 in Home, PA.

Jane attended Bethany Ministries in West Melbourne, FL.

She worked various jobs throughout her life; Bell Telephone in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Alcoa in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Sears Customer Service, Navy Credit Union in Orlando, FL and Space Coast Credit Union in both Palm Bay and Melbourne, FL.

Jane enjoyed reading books and playing cards until she lost most of her eyesight. She continued to listen to books on tape provided by the American Foundation for the Blind.

She loved going to Pennsylvania and attending her family reunions up until the time she was no longer able to travel.

Surviving are her three sons, Van Schmidt of Mims, FL; Greg and Angie Schmidt of Valkaria, FL; Erik Schmidt of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Kayle Schmidt and Zachary Schmidt of Southlake, TX; two brothers, John Rankin of Monroeville, PA and Bill Rankin of New Holland, PA; three sisters, Aida Zorger of Fort Myers, FL, Mary Lou Jurko of Lancaster, PA; and Gayenelle Duschl of Lancaster, PA.

She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Schmidt; her parents; brothers Edward Rankin, Richard Rankin, Ray Rankin, and Perry Rankin; and sister Ellen Boyles
