Beulah Kinney

BEULAH PITT KINNEY Beulah Pitt Kinney, age 90, of Sebastian passed away with her family by her side on August 17, 2012, at Palm Garden Rehabilitation Center under VNA Hospice care. Beulah was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and was a resident of Sebastian since 1959. She retired as Postmaster of Sebastian after overseeing the construction and opening of the current Sebastian Post Office. She was a longtime member of Sebastian United Methodist Church, an honorary lifetime member of the Sebastian Friendly Tennis Club, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a valued member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter IN, Sebastian. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Roy Kinney and is survived by her son Douglas Kinney of Sebastian, daughters Linda Gail Green (husband Michael) of Gainesville, FL, and Pat Mays of Vero Beach. She is also survived by grandchildren April, Matthew, Jeremy, Ashley and Kyle, great grandson Micah and great granddaught ers Amelia and Miah. Other survivors include her sister Linda Knipp, brother Thomas Pitt, sister-in-law, Gail Griffin, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Don Pitt. A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, August 19th, at the Sebastian United Methodist Church, 1029 Main Street in Sebastian. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the organization of one's choice.
