

Carol Lucille Hitchcock (nee Rolland), 75, met the Lord and her loving husband on Sunday (8/10). Carol was born in Bronx, New York on July 17, 1939 to Albert and Carol Rolland. She married the man of her dreams Ronald M. Hitchcock, June 12, 1957 in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and spent 29 years as an Air Force Wife. Senior Master SSgt Ronald Hitchcock passed in March 1997. She found a second family in St. Marks United Methodist Church where she participated in many volunteer activities. A devoted Christian, Carol served as a Stephen Minister, volunteered at Shepherd Ministries, Daily Bread and served on many different committees for St. Marks.
She leaves behind a son: Ronald M. (Dorilyn) Hitchcock of Merritt Island; daughter: Alberta Russo of Titusville; three grandchildren: Ronda Couture, Cory Hitchcock, Roni Hitchcock, and one great-grandchild: Hayden Crestino.
She loved being an Air Force wife, and followed “Hitch” from Fort Walton Beach to Satellite Beach, to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Bedford, Massachusetts and lastly Minot, North Dakota. Carol and Hitch dreamed of a home in Florida and settled in the Satellite Beach area.
She is predeceased by both parents and her husband. The family requests that donations be made to Central Brevard Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
