Born in Port-Au-Prince Haiti, Clemencia immigrated to the United States in 1974. After settling in Boston, Massachusetts, she worked tirelessly over the next seven years in order to reunite her family. While she faced many challenges in her new country, her faith in God never wavered. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, Clemencia instilled in her children the power of faith, education, hard work, and a humble spirit. For 30 years, she worked as a certified nursing assistant, helping people with disabilities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida.
Anyone who met her knew that she was a compassionate soul who cared deeply for others. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, her church, and her community. She was happiest when she was singing praises to the Lord, raising money for charities in Haiti, and cooking delicious meals for anyone that needed them. She was a devoted mother, a prayer warrior, and a wonderful role model for anyone who knew her.
Clemencia is survived by her husband of 59 years, Buteau Manuel; her daughters Clarelle Sarrasin and Naomi Manuel; her son Anderson and wife Cyndi Manuel; her daughter-in-law Lydia Manuel; and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Mona Manuel, son Michel Manuel, and son-in-law Lawrence Sarrasin.
We thank God for the time that we had with her. We will continue to love and miss her and know that someday we will rejoice with her in heaven.
A visitation for Clemencia will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Haitian Evangelical Church of Palm Bay, 90 Emerson Drive NW, Palm Bay, FL 32907, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
