Clyde G. Allen, 95, of W. Melbourne, died Monday (8/11) at his home. A native of Akron, Ohio, he came to the Melbourne area in 1986 from Akron. Clyde was a veteran of WW II and had worked for the Standard Reproduction Printing Company as a lithographer before retiring. He had four years of instruction from the Cleveland School of Art and enjoyed painting as well as his work. He was a handyman around the home and would make his daughters their doll houses. Clyde had been a member of the South Akron Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years: Jacqueline “Jackie”; daughters: Tari Ann (Kenneth) Kapper of W. Melbourne, Glenda (Robert) Walton of Cocoa; grandchildren: Anthony (Amanda) Kapper, Bobby (Mindy) Walton, Linda Walton; great-grandchildren: Andrew Kapper, Jacob Walton, Nickolas Davis.
Graveside committal with military honors will be scheduled at a later date.
