Affectionately called Nicquay born on May 30 2005 at the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine , Jamaica @ approximately 4:35 Pm. Nicquay was the light of everyone’s eyes. She grew up PRIME in Ellerslie Gardens, Spanish Town where she attended the Solid base Preparatory at age 2.
Funny story: I sent her dad to check out a daycare called “LITTLE FEET” and gave him the address, he said he did not find it but he found “ SOLID BASE PREP” so I said ok. Upon returning with him to the “Solid Base” I discovered “Little feet” was right next door! LOL Men I tell you lol. We did stick to Solid Base though and never regretted a moment of it!
She was loved by her peers, teachers and everyone who came in contact with her. She attended Solid Base up until grade 6 where she sat and passed her exams and moved on to St Catherine High School where she collected more friends, grew more intelligent, made more memories, impacted lives and was loved.
She migrated with her mom and sister Destinii where she finished high school at “Plantation High School” in Florida
She finished high school and moved right on to the Military ( Navy Branch). And she will be correcting you every single time if you get the branch incorrect lol. Did you know? Whilst going in for her medical to be taken in she was sent home for a week to go play In dirt and apply lotion?! They said her hands were too clean and too dry! Unbelievable 😆. She came back home and got it done though and was off to be great!
She was starboard watch throughout training. Home missed her but she was out being great where she needed to be. I remember her calling and I’d have to connect everyone she wanted to speak with on said call as she only got one. She always sounded so bubbly and bright, Little Miss full of potential.
She completed training and moved on to South Carolina where she would serve her country and started college. She loves to read and would always take her blanket and drive to the park to read. She was a lover of animals and babies. She volunteered at Petsmart and other pet stores in Saturday, would sit her friend’s pets and send lots of videos and pics of them. She dedicated her life to the Lord and also started volunteering in the nursery at the church she attended and wouldn’t miss a Sunday for nothing else. That was her joy!
Still eager to be more, she would leave her desk and go in the clinic where she was taught to draw blood and administer flu shots. I remember her calling to say her feet hurt because she gave over 500 flu shots that day but she enjoyed it.
Anyone who knew Nicquay knows she walks with at least 1 Vaseline and lipgloss and applies every minute like it was going out of style . Haha 🤣.
If she was coming by your home you also know not to feel offended because she is going to walk with her bleach wipes, gloves and bleach cleaner and she is going to clean from top to bottom where she is staying.
She made more friends and found a love in South Carolina, she had her days but was mostly happy. She would call home every morning and a couple more times throughout the day and would take a 6-8 hours drive home any chance she could get.
She will be missed terribly by families , loved ones , friends and every individual that has ever came in contact with her.
Danielle you were truly the light of your parents eyes, the joy for your friends , the savior for your siblings and I know they are all brokenhearted . But sleep on in eternal peace my sweet girl. We Love you always and forever.
