He was born in Deer River, Minnesota. He was the son of Leroy Emerson and Margaret Doty.
He was a high school graduate. He was employed at Fiber in Washington State as a masonry.
He was in the navy and served his country in 1959 for ten years.
He enjoyed ceramics and won a blue ribbon on his work. He also enjoyed his family.
He was survived by his wife Deloris Emerson of Sebastian; daughter Crystal Knief and her husband Mark Knief of Vero Beach; grandsons Jonathan Perry and Doug Knief; and great-granddaughters Bella Rose Perry and Shayla Lynn Perry.
Family to have a small service at a later date.
