A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ed was married to the love of his life, Helene, for 68 wonderful years. Together, they were longtime members of Temple Shalom of Central Florida from 2001 until their relocation to Melbourne to be closer to family.
Ed is survived by his cherished wife, Helene; his son, Andy (Patty) Ziegler; daughter, Erika (Mark) Andrew; and granddaughter, Janielle (Will) Ziegler.
His memory will be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Those who knew Ziggy will remember his lifelong love of sports and commitment to staying active. But above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He also found comfort in the companionship of his beloved dog, Willi, and it brings peace to know they are now reunited.
A graveside service to honor Ed’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
