In 1953, Emily married Leslie Jones. They raised three children, Bob, Gail, and Diana. Emily was blessed with three grandchildren, Heather (Gail), Jessica (Diana), and Jennifer (Diana). Emily's passion was caring for children. She loved teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible school. She enjoyed making crafts and sharing that joy with children.
In 1971, Emily's son Bobby was killed by a drunk driver. In 1994, her husband, Les, lost his battle with cancer.
Emily then lived with Diana and her husband John becoming a full-time caregiver to her grandchildren Jessica and Jennifer for 15 years. Emily’s steadfast focus in life was to nurture her family, particularly the children, and to raise them to love and serve God. Regardless of the years of adversity she endured while suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Emily maintained a terrific sense of humor and an undying love for her family and for her Lord Jesus.
