

Hazel attended school in Savanna-la-mar. She was married to late Kenneth Rose, and the mother of five beautiful daughters.
She resided in Franklyn Town, Jamaica where she worked at Sally Brassier factory, and Bata Shoe Company for several years. She migrated to USA in 1978 and worked at Westchester County Medical Center for many years. She attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Bronx, NY. Upon her retirement, Hazel relocated to Palm Bay, Florida where she worked as a private duty Nursing Assistant.
Hazel worshiped at Church of Our Savior, Palm Bay, Florida where she was a member of the choir and The Daughters of the King. A celebration of Hazel's life will be held at the church on Saturday, June 8, 2013 with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM.
Hazel's beautiful smile and kind spirit will be greatly missed. Hazel was always productive and busy. Gardening was Hazel's passion. She would spend hours, cultivating her various yams, fruits and vegetables.
She leaves to cherish her memories her only surviving sibling Hugh Barrett and wife Millie Barrett. Daughters; Beverly Cadien and husband Daniel - Beaumont TX, Marilyn Self and husband Maurice Self - Stroudsbug, PA, Pansy Crooks – Mt. Vernon, NY, Karlene Rose - Missouri City, TX and Karen Rose Kennesaw, GA. Grand Children; Kevin Cadien and wife Tawana, Stephanie Brown, Ruimel Nugent and wife Shunnika, Rene Crooks, Kline Cadien, Christopher Rose and wife Kim, and Marvin Crooks. Great Grand Children; Demoi, Kelsey, Shaydra, D'Aisha, Ruimel Jr, Cambel, Joh'Anna, Raenick, & Imani. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Hazel was proceeded in death by her mother, Maude Wilson, siblings; Cedrick Wilson, Olga Woods, Lloyd Barrett, Clinton Phillips.
