Young people, it's been a month since Jerry went home. And the year of "firsts" has just begun. The 1st day, the 1st night, the 1st week, the 1st month, the 1st Valentines Day. Not a days goes by without a thought of Jerry. Each morning I wake up, one of my 1st thoughts is about Jerry, big Jerry, Lorraine and Rachelle. Please keep the lines of communications open with Big Jerry, Lorraine & Rachelle, especially on those days you think of them.  Also don't be offended if they don't want to communicate, some days are harder than others and sometimes they may just want someone to sit for a while. Be flexible, available and take action (these 3 words flexible, available & action are Jerrys words I've heard about his character) they don't just applied to Jerrys family but to all those lives who were touched by Jerry and beyond to everyone in your life. Remember Jerry in your flexibility availability and your action. 
This will be my last writing in this guest book, but Big Jerry & Lorraine have my email in case you'd like to contact me. Be blessed and know I'll be praying for you-family & friends of dear sweet Jerry Staggenborg.

I just wanted to start by saying thank you so very much Jerry for giving me a huge boost in life. If it wasn't for you I don't know where I would be or what I would be doing. You have made the hugest impact in my life so far. The two most alive, caring, and loving students got taken away from us that night. We miss you both very much, its so different at school without you guys  there. Every where I turn I expect to see one of your beautiful faces. We love and miss you soo very much. Thank you soo much for letting me be a part of both your lives, you have taught me a lot in the little time I knew you.  See you guys when I get there. Rip my loves xoxo

Young people, as I thought about Little Jerry this morning I wondered does anyone have any stories to share about Little Jerry showing patience towards them or others? Stories about Little Jerry encourage & strengthen ALL of us. They put smiles on our faces and little Jerry smile is very well know.

I missed you so much already and now I miss you even more. Every day that passes I feel more heartbroken. You were a wonderful part of my life and I'll never forget the times we shared together. I think about you every day that goes by and I feel like you're painting the sunsets in the sky because they've been different. I've noticed them. I love you so much and I miss you.

Young people do not leave here today without hope. Don't grieve for Jerry-celebrate his life. The strength that Jerry Sr., Lorraine & Rachelle have been living out in front of you reveals their hope in God that little Jerry is with God and that they will see him again. (And you can too!) Little Jerry lived a life that was full in his short time here on earth but he lived well. I want to challenge you, as I take on this challenge, to live life for a purpose like little Jerry with love in action, be a giver-a smile, your time, your food, your energy.... Little Jerry lived an example of Christ's love by these actions we can do that too! Someone shared with me that Little Jerry would not be a part of a conversation when hurtful things were being said about others. Don't waste what you've learned from Little Jerry. Live each day as if it's your last by doing good to and for ALL people.

Jerry, Lorraine and Rachelle, We are so sorry for your loss. Little Jerry was a beautiful young man. He was so kind and caring. He will be deeply missed forever. May God hold you and give you the strength to go forward. I enjoyed sitting next to him at Jason and Brianna's wedding. We talked about living in Orlando and him going to Paul Mitchell. He was so excited about his future and I was as well for him. I knew he would do well. Jerry and Lorraine you both are fantastic parents. The love you all have for each other is so precious. I don’t even know where to start. As of right now I feel like this isn’t real. I would have never imagined being on Facebook one day seeing someone’s status that you had passed away. Even after seeing your body today, I still refuse to accept it. I look back on our very short friendship and saw how sweet you were. When you moved to Orlando, I wanted to be your friend so badly. After being friends with Hana for some time, I wanted to get to know you, and I think I did. I saw how talented and dedicated you were to doing hair. I enjoyed the time you, Anna, and I spent together: Night time swimming at Anna’s pool, hanging out at your apartment, grocery shopping, blasting music, the haunted house at old town etc. I will never forget how highly you spoke of the importance of “Paul Mitchell product” and other sayings you would say. Even though we had our falling out, I just want you to know that today I look back with a lot of regret. I miss you more than you will ever know. Thanks for adding to my life. 

For Jerry’s family: It was nice meeting you all today. Your son/brother was a talented guy with many hopes, dreams, and goals. I’m glad I got to be friends with such an amazing person.

Lorraine, It seems like yesterday when I first met you and Jerry.  It was at kindergarden orientation at Meadowlane. My daughter Holly and Jerry were friends all though Meadowlane.  We are both heartbroken. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

You have made such a big impact on my life. You were my bestfriend, but more like a brother to me. I'm having a really hard time with this, its not fair. You were always there for me when i needed you, and you always told me the truth when I needed to hear it. You could tell me anything, and I could always tell when something was wrong, no matter how hard you tried to hide it. The first time we met, we became instant friends. Just the first week of knowing you, we'd stay up half the night talking on the phone for hours. It was crazy that I had so much to say to someone I just met. Whenever we hung out we'd laugh, about anything. You'd come to my house and wake me up so we could go do something. If you were at my house and I had to clean or do homework, you'd sit there and keep me company. You were my best friend ALL the time, not just when it was convenient for you. My parents even loved you. I always pictured us twenty years from now still being best friends. You'd be a famous hair dresser, i'd be a successful artist (lol). Twenty years from now you wont be physically here, but you know you'll be in my heart forever.

Jerry will be missed by so many people...too many to count. I thought for sure that I'd see him on television one day as some kind of celebrity. He was very self-less, kind, caring, loving, talented, etc.... I am  praying for the Staggenborg family that God just touches their hearts and gives them peace that passes all understanding. I'm also praying the same thing for all of his grieving friends. His father told me that he was saved and that means he's in Heaven waiting for us to join  him in complete peace and harmony.
