

Jesse Gilbert Knipshild, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully at home in Sebastian Florida on January 12, 2022. He is survived by his special gal Jane Huber, with whom he shared 15 years of love and adventure.
Jesse was born in Spring Lake, NJ and grew up in Asbury Park and Montclair NJ. He was the son of Jesse Gilbert Knipshild and Fredericka Francesca Zingg. He graduated from Montclair High School in 1949, and from Rutgers University with a degree in Engineering. He worked for Factory Mutual Engineering Division as Vice President and Regional Manager from 1956 to 1986. He concluded his career at Arkwright Mutual Insurance Company 1986-1992.
US Army training in radio repair at Fort Monmouth NJ in 1955 and was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
He enjoyed tennis, skiing, and traveling, including his epic cross-country road trips. He was a member of Sebastian Friendly Tennis Club and played tennis into his 80’s. Everyone he met became a friend; he made a lot of people smile, for a lot of years.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Yvonne Melody Jensen and brothers James Nicholas and Richard Elmer. Survived by loving daughters Gretchen (Richard) and Nancy (John), their children Mark (Desiree), Emily and George, great-grandchildren Aria and Cole and step-children Debra (Gordon), David (Angie) and Elizabeth and their children Jessica, Rachel, Adam, DJ and Alex.
Internment of ashes will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman Ohio.
