Joan Green, 81of Claymont, Delaware went to be with her Lord, whom she loved on Saturday, January 14, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years John "Doc" Green, her sons and daughters-in-law: Keith (Suzy) of Palm Bay, FL; Bruce (Linda) of Pickerington, OH; John of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Rich (Tanya) of Palm Bay, FL; Steve (Lisa) of Pickerington, OH. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law George (Carolyn) Lewis of Claymont, Delaware; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill (Connie) Green of Sanford, NC and 10 grandchildren.
Joan was a people person...never met a stranger. She touched many lives through her many years of volunteer work at Daily Bread (Melbourne, FL) and the community of Lakes of Melbourne, where she and Doc lived since 1994. Joan was called the Energizer Bunny because she was always on the move, giving tirelessly of herself. She will never be forgotten.
Memorial Service to be held on Thursday, January 19th at 10:00am at Joy Lutheran Church located at 3174 Jupiter Blvd SE Palm Bay. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to Daily Bread. Donations should be sent to 815 E. Fee Avenue, Melbourne, Fl 32901.
