Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on December 4, in Hospice Rock Ledge, Florida with family at bedside.
Born in Trenton, NJ Jan 3, 1934, Joan grew up with love for horses, dogs and gardening. Joan had one brother Robert Kneeshaw and one sister Marie Schremser, stepbrother David Jewell and stepsister Elizabeth Jewell.
Married Richard F Hobson and had two daughters, Barbara and Kimberley. Moving to Florida in 1972, Joan’s passion was for the bay, fishing and shelling at the beach. Joan learned how to snorkel (while living in the Florida Keys) and loved the Ocean. Joan also loved the mountains of Eastern Tennessee where she lived briefly before returning to Florida.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband Richard F. Hobson and her brother Robert and sister Marie. Joan is survived by 2 daughters Barbara Hobson Phethean and Kimberley (Hobson) Thompson and 3 grandchildren Christie Reppart, Danielle Sparks and Sean Thompson.
At Joan’s request, no formal services will be held.
