She was born in Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Anna and Peter LaPietro.
She is survived by her husband Sam, daughter JoAnn and husband Vincent, son Sal and wife Christie, grandchildren Alicia, Nick, Anthony, and Tommy, great grandchildren Abi, Rihanna, Nova and sister Diane and husband Charles.
