John T. Thompson , 80 of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away on December 2, 2010 at home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne Gillion Thompson, and their children Deborah A. Thompson of Newington, CT, Jeanne L Thompson of Farmington, CT and Sandra M. Thompson of Palmyra, PA and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict and retired from Union Carbide, Linde Division after 35 year of service. He was a member of Barefoot Bay Irish American Club, Square Dance Club and the VFW Post 10210 of Sebastian, FL.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Fountainhead Funeral Home at 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
