Born June 14, 1958 to Mary (Spahr) and Leo Signorello, Kim was the oldest of five siblings; John, Angie, Terry, and Charles. She loved and cared for each of her siblings as though they were her own children. The compassion she showed them throughout life, was returned to her in their tender support during her final days, especially by Terry and Angie who remained by her side until the end.
At fifteen years old, the Lord sent Lonnie Harmon into her life. High school sweethearts, they were married on September 2, 1977. It was through Lonnie and his family that she came to understand God’s great love for her.
Kim spent most of her young adulthood as a stay at home mom to her children Natalie and Nathan. She gladly volunteered at their schools and church. Gifted with great hospitality, it brought her joy to host missionaries, and others needing a place to rest. She also had a special place in her heart for stray animals and the Harmon house never had a shortage of pets.
In 2005, as empty nesters, Kim and Lonnie felt the Lord leading them to grow their family through adoption. In 2006, they adopted Eli, Jeff, Fenduelle and Josette. Within the next few years, Dayana and Ben also became part of the Harmon family. Kim enjoyed teaching and homeschooled them. She also helped tutor her grandchildren and family friends.
Kim became President of For His Glory Outreach in Haiti and in 2010, when a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, she was instrumental in persuading the U.S. government to issue humanitarian aid visas to over 100 orphans. She grew to love the Haitian people and traveled to Haiti many times. She also volunteered with Feed My Starving Children.
Kim loved to travel and enjoyed camping. In 2019, Kim and Lonnie moved to Sebastian, FL to live by the beach, where Kim felt most at home. She was incredibly proud of her family and honored to be their Mom. The final weeks of her life she was surrounded by all eight of her children, her grandchildren, her siblings, nieces, nephews, and her beloved Lonnie. They spent hours laughing, reading scripture, singing, praying and playing poker.
Kim is survived by her husband Lonnie, children; Natalie and Michael Runyon of Godfrey, IL, Nathan and Lisa Harmon of Jeffersonville, IN, Eli Harmon of Austin, TX, Sgt. Jeff Harmon of Wahiawa, HI, Josette, Sophie Dayana and Audrey Fenduelle Harmon, all of Melbourne, FL, and Ben Harmon of Alton, IL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Eliana and Tommy McBee, Madeline, Meghan, Bella, Jude, Eva, Joy, Sophie, Brooklyn and Emilia Runyon all of Godfrey, IL, and Elliott, Luci and Owen Harmon of Jeffersonville, IN, and one great-grandchild; Joshua McBee of Godfrey IL. Her surviving siblings are John and Beth Signorello of La Salle, MI, Angie Matheny of Grant, FL, Terry and Carlos Signorello of Brookfield, WI, and Charles Signorello of Denton, TX. She also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews and their spouses and children, as well as her dog Buster. She was preceded in death by her mom, Mary Signorello, her mother and father in law, Robert and Lola May Harmon, and her brother in law, Marcus Matheny. Kim was a member of First Baptist Church, Melbourne, FL. Memorials can be given to the church. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 1-2PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately following.
Kim was passionate about sharing the Gospel, and it is through her witness that much of her family came to know the Lord. Her final exhortation to each family member and friend who came to see her was “follow Jesus”. Because of the salvation offered through Him, we know that her death isn’t goodbye, but that we will see her again. If you knew her, she would encourage you to do the same. Follow Jesus.
