LaRue M. Orris

LaRue was born on November 12, 1924 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She married John Orris on January 1, 1946 and they moved to Miami, Florida to begin their new adventure together.

LaRue was very active in the lives of her family and community. LaRue was a wonderful wife and mother of three. She worked as the Special Interest Coordinator for the City of North Miami. She was a 47 year charter member of the North Miami Women of the Moose Organization holding both state and international offices in the club. In 1990, LaRue and John retired to Sebastian, Florida where they were longtime residents of Park Place. LaRue continued to be active in her new community organizing countless charity events and social gatherings.

LaRue loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved to shop, dance, do puzzles, play cards, and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She also enjoyed playing bingo and weekly card nights with her friends at Park Place in Sebastian, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband John and daughter Kathy.

LaRue leaves behind 2 sons, Robert Lindsay Orris, and John Randolph Orris (Linett) and 8 grandchildren, Brenda, Karla, Stacey, Chi, Bobby, Ryan, Heather, Shawn as well as 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was everything to everyone who met her. She was loved by everyone. Heaven has received a very special angel and she will be dearly missed.

A visitation for LaRue will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
