Marcus F. Patterson, Sr., 79, of Fellsmere died Wednesday (5/22) in the Sebastian River Medical Center. A native of Noma, FL, he has lived here since 1940 coming from Noma as a child. He was a commercial Fisherman and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fellsmere. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt, camp, and fish as often as he could.
Preceded in death by a son: Marcus “MF”, Jr.; he is survived by his wife: Mildred; two sons: Tommy of Fellsmere, Pat also of Fellsmere; daughter: Carolyn Klotzer of Sebastian; two sisters: Marvel Walker of Zellwood, Zerita Madsen of Pensacola; 10 grandchildren: Julie, Barbie, Tracy, Bobby, Kyle, Bunny, Samantha James, Crystal, Melinda; and 16 great-grandchildren: Terrence, Caleb, Delainec, Kyler, Camden, Katrina, Donna, Rebbecca, Jacob, Travis, Carlee, Michael, Leanne, Trent.
Funeral services will be in the First Baptist Church of Fellsmere on Friday (5/24) at 10:00 AM. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park. Fountainhead Funeral Home is in charge of services.
