Marietta was proud to have graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and enjoyed her time in Boston before her graduation. She spent the first 32 years of her married life in Bethel, CT where she was a congregant of St. Mary’s parish. During those years, she worked at French Tube Company and Blackstone Industries in administrative roles. She maintained many close friendships from Bethel long after moving to Florida.
Marietta absolutely loved her life in Florida. She enjoyed many afternoons of bridge with dear friends as well as dinners with the ‘Noah’s Ark’ crew. She took great pleasure in volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph’s Chapter and served on its Board of Directors. She held the positions of Vice President and Desk Captain. She enjoyed following the Space program and loved watching launches from Cape Canaveral soar across the night sky in her backyard. Marietta was fun, full of life and a true friend to those closest to her. She loved being active and helping others at every turn. She held her faith closely and longed to be reunited with her beloved Gene. We know she is now with him, and finally at peace.
Marietta is predeceased by her beloved husband Lorenzo (Gene) Janutolo, her brother Joseph Collins, and brother-in-law Frank Haefner. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Janutolo, sisters Laura Collins and Nancy Collins, sister-in-law Susan Haefner and her beloved Bella.
A visitation for Marietta will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 10:45 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock Street NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
Anyone wishing to, may make a donation in Marietta’s name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Joseph’s Chapter or the Brevard County Humane Society.
