Mary Catherine Hepburn

Mary Catherine (Titi) Hepburn was born on sea near Demerara to Vera August and Jean Clauzel on November 24, 1928. Mary Catherine was the youngest of six children, consisting of three brothers: Victor, Hugo and Clifford and two sisters, Jane and Frances.

From her early teenage years growing up in St. Lucia, Mary (affectionately known as Titi) learned what responsibility and hard work meant. With the motivation to survive and strive, she was determined to succeed at whatever she undertook. In 1956, she married Hubert Hepburn. Together they had five children: Paula, Morgan, Patricia, Audrey (deceased), Timothy, David (deceased), and Oswald.

Mary Catherine Hepburn seemed destined to travel, and she did. She started her speculating business traveling back and forth to Trinidad and Venezuela. In 1967 Mary migrated to the United States of America and settled in Brooklyn, New York. She worked with the Kaultman’s, a family she had grown to love. In the early 1970s she began a new career working as a Nurse’s Assistant at Rusk Institute in NYU Medical Center. After 25 years of excellent awarded service she retired.

In 2008 Mary fell ill. Although she was never the same after that, Mary was a fighter. She was blessed. On July 15, 2016 the Lord called her home. She was pre-deceased by her husband Hubert Hepburn and leaves to mourn and to cherish her memory:

Her five children: Paula Hepburn- Fevrier, Morgan Hepburn, Patricia Hepburn- Trotman, Timothy Hepburn and Oswald Hepburn;

Twenty-one (21) grandchildren and thirty-three (33) great grandchildren;

Brother - Hugo Clauzel ( the only surviving member of her original family);

Two sons in-law Howard Fevrier and Tyrone Trotman;

A daughter in-law Esmay Hepburn;

Two nephews – Kenny and Gerald Clauzel and a niece Celine Clauzel Lee.

In addition, she left many loving and dear relatives and friends. Surely, she will be greatly missed.

Calling hours are 11:00AM until the service begins at 1:00PM, Saturday July 30, 2016 at Fountainhead Funeral Home, Palm Bay, Florida. Interment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay, Florida.
