Mary Jane Thomas

Mary Jane Thomas, 88, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Saturday February 20, 2016. Mary Jane was born on August 7, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to her parents Ruth Jane Clark and Warren Weigle Green who preceded her in death.

She retired as a restaurant manager with Howard Johnsons. She was formerly a guard at Fellsmere Farms. Mary Jane, who was a longtime resident of Fellsmere, was a quilter and a seamstress. She loved gardening and yardwork in her last years.

Beside her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her daughters L. Jane Nedell, Jacqueline S. Thomas; and brother, Warren W. “Buddy” Green.

She is survived by her son Warren W. "Butch" Thomas of Vero Beach, Florida; grandchildren Gladys Jane Ellis of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Phyliss J. Frank of Peoria, Illinois, Michelle N. Servos of Vero Beach, Florida, Angela G. Hughes of Sebastian, Florida, Carl W. Thomas of Clermont, Florida; great grandchildren, Billy Joe Simpson, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Cody S. Simpson of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Walter E. Hughes, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, Anna M. Hughes of Sebastian, Florida; sister, Lillian R. McCants of Fellsmere, Florida; brother, William A. "Billy" Green of Vero Lake Estates, Florida.
