Oscar S. "Pop" Barnes, 95, of Indialantic, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010. He was a W.W.II Veteran. He was predeceased by his wife, Willa S. Barnes; and sons, Donald R. and James F. Barnes. Pop is survived by a son, Russell S. (Carol) Barnes of Ft. Washington, MD; daughters, Sioux Zilaitis of Indialantic, FL and Jane (Kim) Renas of Livonia, MI; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Donald R. Barnes of Alexandria, VA; eleven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. The family will receive their friends from 5:00- 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2010, in the chapel at Fountainhead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 10, 2010, at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 12 E. Avenue A, Melbourne, FL. Interment will be in the Mausoleum in Fountainhead Cemetery, Palm Bay, FL.
