

He was born on July 8, 1914, in Winslow, Maine. He was the eldest son of Thomas Henry and Josephine M. (Quirion) Cote.
Peter married Giovanna Romania Begin on August 24, 1937 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Waterville, Maine. They had three children; daughters, Sylvanne Marguerite, Gisele Annette, a son, Vincent Pierre Cote.
He was a self-employed neighborhood grocer on Water Street, Waterville, Maine for 17 years, relocating in Norridgewock, ME in 1953-1983. He earned his high school diploma (G.E.D.). He worked at Hannaford Supermarket in Wtvl., ME for several years until his retirement.
He and his wife, became a resident at 1091 Vista Ct. N.E. Holiday Park, Palm Bay, Florida.
He was presented a Fourth Degree Honorary Life Membership of the Knights of Columbus.
As a young lad, Peter was a newspaper boy with the largest route in Waterville, Maine.
Won a trip to Washington, D.C., and was very proud of this fact! He enjoyed being a golf caddy as a young child, and later the game of golf. He loved harness racing (race track betting), dancing, and exercised daily on his bicycle around the park at Vista Ct.
Peter is survived by his daughter, Gisele and son-in-law Joseph T. Beaulieu, Skowhegan, ME.; and their five children; Paul Michelle, Peter, Marc and Todd Beaulieu.
His son, Vincent Cote of Brewer, ME.; & Monica Y. Cote of Bangor, ME, and their four children; Elizabeth, David, Stephen and Margaret.
Children of Sylvanne & Thomas Labun; Tobie Clement Labun, Angelique Sylvanne (Labun) Michaud.
Peter is survived by one sibling: brother, James R. and sister-in-law Rita Cote of Wtvl., ME; and several nieces and nephews; Michael, Patty and Richard Cote; and Patrick Herlihy.
Peter has 15 Great-Grandchildren, Maria, Matthew, Nicolette, Charles, Noah, Jacob, Vincent, Giovanna, Alexandre, Gisele, Samuel Beaulieu. Nicholas, Dylan Labun, Makayla Michaud, Simone Guimond.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years; 5 siblings; Delford, Jeanne, Fernande, Anita, and Robert. His daughter, Sylvanne and son-in-law Thomas Labun.
The family would like to express appreciation for the care and love that Dad received from JoAnn Prosser and Veronica Charles who took such special care of him every day.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5310 Babcock St. NE, Palm Bay, Florida. Committal prayers and burial will take place at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock St. South East, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make donations to St. Joseph Elementary School, 5310 Babcock St., Palm Bay, Florida 32905.
