Rick Emery Schantz

He lived a vibrant although be it a short life. He was very active and loved his family and friends. Rick spent his childhood in Brush, Colorado where he attended school. As an adult, he later traveled throughout the country for work. Rick was a talented and accomplished steel construction ironworker until retirement. After moving to Florida, he was a skilled handyman and respected by members of the community.

Rick was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He loved his motorcycle, his beloved dogs, Dotty and Dodge, and enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, and life near and on the water.

Already dearly missed, Rick is survived by his longtime partner, Soni Telarico and her two daughters, his sons Clay and Cheyenne Schantz, his two grandchildren, Rustin and Owen Schantz, his parents, Loretta and Doug Ruch, his twin brother, Dick Schantz and older brother, Scott Schantz. Rick is preceded in death by his father, Edward Schantz and his oldest brother, Troy Schantz.

A Celebration of Life will take place in early April at his home in Palm Bay, Florida. Details will be posted here and on social media for all who wish to attend once arrangements have been finalized.
