Age 92 died September 2, 2012 at Pelican Garden Assisted Living, Sebastian, FL

She was born in Taunton, MA, August 29, 1920, and lived in Roseland, FL,

coming from New Milford, CT, in 1977

She retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company where she was an operator supervisor.

She was a member of the Roseland United Methodist Church and was active for many years in their choir, the Thrift Store, the Coffee Hour, the Christmas Craft Bazaar, and the Ushers

She was a member of: the Order of the Eastern Star in New Milford, CT,

The Roseland Women’s Club and The Roseland Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary in Roseland, FL

Survivors include her four children - William (Bill) Carlson of Vero Beach, FL, Marion (Mimi) Martinelli of Roxbury, CT, Brad Carlson of Sherman, CT, and Brian Carlson, of Lexington, NC; two sisters June Sullivan, Greenville, RI, and Bernice Dain of Florence, OR. She had Eight grandchildren and Twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Carlson and her brother A. Philip Taylor.

A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Roseland United Methodist Church, 12962 Roseland Rd, Roseland, FL
