Shamcomar Rai, 69 years of age, passed away on June 12, 2020 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. He was the husband of Kowsillia Rai where they shared 49 years of marriage together.
Born in Alness, Guyana, he was the son of Allan and Rosa Roy. He graduated from Rose Hall Chandisingh High School in Port Mourant, Guyana. He was skilled in carpentry and was considered a jack of all trades.
He enjoyed cricket, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his dedication to those he loved, his charisma and kindness.
He is survived by his wife, Nero; his children; Seeta, Nalini, and Tony; his grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon, Kristian, Tristan, Stephen, Kassie, and Andrew; his great grandchildren: Sophia, Aria, and Silas; his siblings: Victor, Indra, Suresh, Naresh, Pamela, Boogie, Ashwattie, Anita, Radesh, Usha, and Shamila.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. The final viewing and cremation will be held on Friday, June 19 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
