Simone Marie Boursiquot

Simone was the fourth of ten children of Lucasse Francois & Isalie Ternier born in Haiti in La Vallée de Jacmel and very early moving to Port-au-Prince.

In 1963 Simone moved to the US and worked as a Nanny first and then at J&J as a Patient Attendant. She lived in New York, New Jersey and then settling in Florida where she worked as a Bus Attendant.

While settling in Florida she reconnected with her devoted cousin Jean Barde Boursiquot who played an important lifelong role in Simone's life by standing by her in good and bad times alike.

Simone is remembered as an affectionate, kind, grateful, and caring woman. She was loving towards everyone she met.

She had been married to Jorel Boursiquot since the 1970s until his death in 2020.

She is survived by her adoptive daughter Ruth Francois Boursiquot and Goddaughters Marie Gabrielle Collot & Marie Katia Content. Her faithful cousin Jean Barde Boursiquot and caring nurse Bernice Walker. Sisters Claire & Andreanne and brothers Clement & Obiece Francois. Her in-laws Odette Boursiquot, Raymonde Desdunes Martinez & Robert Boursiquot.

Countless other cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jorel. Her parents, Lucasse & Isalie. Her sisters Marie Charmante Francois Collot, Marie Helene Francois Content, Izanne Francois & brothers Dexess & Lemoine Francois.

Deepest sympathies to the members of the Boursiquot, Francois, Ternier, Collot, Content, Mingot, Desdunes, Fleurry, Lamarre, Jean, Baptiste, Massena, Lovett, Denis, Cantave, Salador, Ménard, Hussein, Cadet, Ferdinand & Charles families along with everyone else grieving her loss, she will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation for Simone will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock St NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905, followed by a mass of christian burial at 1:30 PM.
